Corte Madera Council Election: Beckman, Fruin and Bell Lead Three-Seat Contest

CORTE MADERA, Marin County — November 4, 2026. Three candidates held the highest reported totals in Corte Madera’s Town Council contest after election night, with three council seats available. The list was led by Eli Beckman, followed by Ava Fruin and David C. Bell, according to Marin County results published by KQED.

Reported candidate selections

At 11:13 p.m. on November 3, Eli Beckman had 1,616 selections (32.1%), Ava Fruin 1,151 (22.8%) and David C. Bell 1,084 (21.5%). Other candidates also sought office. The difference between the second and third positions was 67 reported selections; because more than three candidates competed, the last seat should not be called final from this initial ranking.

Why a multi-seat count is different

In a vote-for-three contest, individual voters may mark more than one candidate. The aggregate candidate selections can exceed the number of participating voters, and percentages must not be described as election turnout.

Town decisions and pending certification

Corte Madera’s council oversees city budgets, housing proposals, streets, land use, drainage and community facilities. County election officials will continue processing ballots under the canvass, and none of the early rankings is a substitute for formal certification.

Check the Marin County Elections Department for official updates; additional mail and eligible ballots may be counted after Election Night.
